En este blog educativo haré un repaso de una pequeña parte de la gramática inglesa.
Hoy trataremos  Present simple and present continuous


PRESENT SIMPLE AND PRESENT CONTINUOUS 

PRESENT SIMPLE


Afirmative: They work in a bank.
Negative: He does not (doesn't) wear glasses.
Interrogative: Where do you have lunch today?

USES
  • Use the present simple for things that are always true or  happen regularly.
    • It never snows in the desert.
  • Habitual actions
    • I have brekfast at 9 o' clock.
  • Stative verbs
    • Does Jennifer  like Italian food?
ADVERBS OF FREQUENCY AND TIME EXPRESSIONS

always, usually, generally, regularly, frequently, often, sometimes, rarely, seldom, never, once month, every day, in the evening, at 10 o'clock, on Mondays, at night, how often?



PRESEN CONTINUOUS 

Afirmative: Mary is teaching the lesson
Negative: They are not (aren't) studying
Interrogative: Who are you waiting for?

USES
  • Use the present continuous for actions in progress at the time of speaking
    • The mechanic is reparing the motorbike  now
  • A temporary action
    • He is travelling a lot this year
  • A definite plan for the future
    • I'm interviewing the actors tomorrow


TIME EXPRESSIONS

now, right now, at he moment, tonight, this year, at the present.
tomorrow, next week
